As a little girl Jonna dreamed of being a pop star. She grew up dancing in front of the mirror lip syncing to her favorite songs on MTV. She would ride her bike through the city while singing the music and lyrics that came to her mind. Music was a way for her to escape from drama at home.
A few years later her dream started coming true as she heard her song on the radio for the first time. Between the years of 2003-2006 she released 3 successful albums with a major label in Finland. She had several top hits on the charts and booming radio play in her home country, but she wanted to share her story with a wider audience and start singing in English.
Her record label was not excited about her ambitious idea, so she decided to do it without them. Jonna packed her bags and moved to LA to find new influences to her music and to write her new album. She came back to Finland and was lucky to find talented people who wanted to help her. After 4 years of preparing her comeback she is now proud to present her brand new summer single “Simple life”. “Simple life” is a song about simple things in life that can make us happy whatever happens in life.
Jonna’s upcoming album “Proud of me” will be released later in 2011. It is a true story about finding hope in despair and in great loss, finding faith in who you are and knowing your worth, loving every moment in life and never giving up. It’s a story about Jonna.
